About Us
We respect the art of wholeness.
Our natural environment, local and seasonal ingredients,
and our dedicated producers are all connected as a part of the circulation.
Working as one makes us stronger.
To honor the blessings given to us from nature,
we are committed to using seasonal ingredients and creating zero waste.
With family roots in the restaurant industry going back over 100 years and beginning with his great, great grandfather in Echizen, Japan, Chef Hirohisa Hayashi was born into a culinary world.
At HIROHISA in the neighborhood of SoHo NYC, Chef Hayashi unites the thoughtful ceremony and seasonality of kappo, kaiseki cuisine. Bringing the skills he has honed in Japan and ingredients inspired by living in New York, HIROHISA’s menu excites both new and seasoned guests. As a certified Sake Sommelier, Chef Hayashi brings the same level of dedication and expertise to the beverage offerings.
At HIROHISA, you will experience an intimate break from the bustling city outside complete with handmade crafts from his hometown of Echizen.
Relax and enjoy the unique and dedicated service of HIROHISA.
We are excited to announce the new pop-up event, Kappo Sono @ Hirohisa.
Chef Sono arrived in New York from Hokkaido in 1986 and received
numerous accolades and awards for his work introducing Kaiseki-style dining to New York City.
Chef Sono is one of the most respected mentors for Chef Hiro.
